90+ CELLARS

90+ Cellars was created because we like drinking great wine anytime we want.  We wanted an everyday “go to” wine that tasted like one usually reserved for special occasions, a delicious wine that we could open any night of the week or whenever friends arrived.  Unfortunately, that wine didn’t exist or just took too much time to find.

CAPTURE

Capture

Founded in 2008, Captûre was inspired by the historical legacy of Pine Mountain, the surrounding appellations, and the principles of land stewardship.Captûre marries the notions of tradition and discovery, adapting classic Bordelais winemaking methods and customs to the rich history and frontier spirit of those who first farmed Sonoma County’s unknown mountains more than a century ago. The style of Captûre’s small-production Sauvignon Blancs and Cabernet Sauvignons was established by renowned winemaking team May Britt and Denis Malbec, formerly of Château Latour in Bordeaux. That style now continues with the Jackson Family winemaking and viticultural teams. The future of Captûre will evolve around its new Pine Mountain estate vineyard; pushing and pioneering the limits of Pine Mountain while creating world-class wines that speak to the rich Bordelais character within California’s mountain terroir.

DAOU VINEYARDS & WINERY

In the golden, oak-studded hills of Paso Robles’ acclaimed west side, not far from William Randolph Hearst’s magnificent castle, there is a man with a Homeric vision. His name is Daniel Daou and he is devoting his life and every imaginable resource to creating, first and foremost, a Cabernet Sauvignon that rivals the very best in the world.

Gracefully perched atop a stunning promontory at 2,200 feet, the DAOU Spanish Colonial style winery is embraced by a tangible serenity. Hawks wheel and bank while the all-day sun caresses close planted rows of lush, emerald green vines. The 100 percent calcareous soil makes no sound as it parses out nourishment and only a gentle breeze flows up through the Templeton Gap from the Pacific Ocean. The quiet is bewitching; you want to lay down roots here, just as the seven-year-old vines have done. But the sense of peace belies the serious industry at work on this 212 acre estate. No effort is spared to create the luscious varietals and blends that flow from this limited production winery.

This kind of synergy happens rarely: superlative climate and terroir, super intensive vineyard culture, and cutting edge viticultural practice. You’re more likely to find it in Bordeaux than Central California. Coupled with the infectious passion and gracious, family style hospitality of the Daou brothers, Georges and Daniel, the result is pure magic. The kind of magic that comes in a bottle.

Sip it. Savor it slowly. And join the family.

Estancia

Estancia

Translated from the Spanish word for “estate”, our name emphasizes our conviction that the world’s best wines capture the essence of their place of origin. At Estancia, we control this process from the start—from our experimental vineyard block trials to planting, harvesting, fermenting, and aging the wines. Our Monterey-based winery allows us to devote the same detailed attention that we give our California estate vineyards. Open-top fermenters and small basket presses allow us to handcraft Pinot Noir, and new red-wine fermentation tanks are individually matched to xa myriad of diverse vineyard blocks. It’s this unwavering devotion, from the vineyard to bottle, that results in the consistent, superior quality of our artisan wines.

GREAT DIVIDE BREWING COMPANY

GREAT DIVIDE BREWING COMPANY

We are a Denver brewery, and have been involved in the craft beer scene and the community here since the beginning. In 2013, we bought 5 acres in the nearby RiNo neighborhood. It wasn’t easy, but we are so happy to have a place only a mile down the road where we can continue growing for the next 21 years. We broke ground on phase one of our expansion in 2014, and in 2015 we finally had the space in our new packaging facility to begin canning. We celebrated the opening of our Barrel Bar in July, and immediately began looking ahead to our continued expansion in Phase Two.

Our brewery has become what it is today thanks to our hardworking, creative and passionate employees. Here at Great Divide, Bold Character is more than just a catchphrase, it’s the philosophy behind what we brew, how we think, and what we believe.

LA JOTA VINEYARD

LA JOTA VINEYARD

La Jota wines are handcrafted at our original 1898 fieldstone winery and hillside cave. From the low yielding vines of 28 mountain acres, we produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and our crown jewel, the annual Heritage Release Cabernet Sauvignon (formerly the Anniversary Release).

While growing grapes in the nutrient-lean, volcanic soils of our La Jota estate is a challenge, the rewards are undeniable. Highly concentrated flavors and muscular tannins slowly mature to perfection, while the cool winds, diurnal temperature swings and high altitude keep the grape acids impeccably balanced, revealing the distinctive voice of our estate.

LANGETWINS WINERY

MICHAEL DAVID WINERY

MICHAEL DAVID WINERY

These days, Michael and David Phillips represent the fifth generation of growers in Lodi, and things are changing. With 650 acres of premium wine grapes, there is plenty of room for experimentation and innovation. The vineyards are irrigated by the Mokelumne River, which carries crystal-clear water from the Sierra Nevada Mountains, depositing minerals into the rich soils upon which the grapes thrive. Though not certified organic, Michael David Winery strives to use all natural methods including integrated pest management, beneficial insects for pest control, trellising, leaf pulling and natural mined sulfur for mildew control.

MT. BRAVE WINES

MT. BRAVE WINES

The land now home to Mt. Brave was originally purchased in 1841, before the Gold Rush forever changed California, decades before the Civil War. The Mt. Brave Vineyard, in the Mt. Veeder AVA, is at elevations ranging from 1400 to 1800 feet. While Mt. Veeder is cool, Mt. Brave sits above the fog line, with morning sun warming the grapes each day. Soils are sparse, a gravely loam with rocks large and small. Nutrients and minerals are scant, resulting in tiny berries with concentrated and complex flavors. At harvest, small lug boxes must be carefully moved up and down steep slopes to protect both vine and vineyard worker. The work is hard, and labor-intensive, little mechanized modern technology is found here.

OAK RIDGE WINERY

REPLICA WINES

REPLICA WINES

We believe there’s a better way to enjoy your favorite wines, one that doesn’t involve overpaying for a fancy label or a name. Using our proprietary patent-pending technology, we identify key flavor characteristics of your favorite wines and create near-identical knockoffs. And then we sell them for a price that makes sense.

The ultimate science and wine pairing.

Every wine we replicate is tested for over 60 taste and aroma markers—data we provide to our skilled winemakers to create our master forgeries. Of course, they don’t always nail it on the first try, so we test and retest each one, adjusting as needed until we’ve got a match so close, we can’t even tell the difference.

Did you know?

Over our ten-year history, we’ve analyzed nearly 2,000 wines over 60 chemistry markers, amassing the largest alcohol flavor profile database in the world. Our Chief Wine Officer, Brett Zimmerman, is one of fewer than 200 Master Sommeliers active in the world today. Brett approves every single wine before it ever finds its way into a bottle. Our skilled winemakers have over one hundred 90+ point wines to their credit.

We chose the name Union to honor and bring together the diversity, spirit and character of Oregon that we love.

At the end of the day, wine is just a beverage. And then it becomes part of something greater. It brings people together over a meal, for celebrations big and small. And that’s incredibly satisfying to me, and to all of us at Union.

UPSLOPE BREWING COMPANY

UPSLOPE BREWING COMPANY

What is Upslope? Meteorologically speaking, an upslope storm happens when a warm, wet stream of air from the Gulf of Mexico slams into a mass of frosty northern air along Colorado’s Front Range, pasting the topography with loads of deep snow. When upslopes happen, things get exciting.

These snow-day-causing, water-table-filling, wildflower-nourishing storms fuel the passions of the thousands of skiers, boarders, climbers, paddlers, and anglers who call the Continental Divide’s eastern flank home. They’re also what inspire the philosophy behind Boulder, Colorado’s Upslope Brewing Company.

Much like its namesake weather phenomenon, Upslope Brewing is the product of a convergence. Sharing a love of the outdoors and tasty craft beers, Upslope’s three founders met in Boulder, a place that fosters both affinities—often at the same time.

It’s a standard we hold ourselves to every day. And why we grow and harvest some of our ingredients ourselves – like the potatoes for our premium vodka. And source those we don’t from trusted Colorado farms, like the rye in our 100% rye mash whiskey.

We also distill every spirit we make in our own custom Carl stills. We never use neutral grain spirits, or blend with base spirits from other distillers. So you can rest assured that every bottle that comes out of Woody Creek Distillers will be truly handcrafted to the highest standards.
